Living in the YMCA is; from a personal experience when living there myself, a very disposable experience. Not only are you sharing accommodation with 24 other people, you are also under the care of an organization which mainly houses the homeless or perhaps; at least in my situation, unwanted.
I managed to photograph 23 of the 25 residents during a period of 4 days hence the title '23 ymca'. All of the residents I met where decent, co-operative and kind enough to let me into their rooms to photograph them.
To others perhaps these people can be seen as in a disadvantaged situation. However, I view them as people; like myself, who are just getting on their feet.
